Case Study: Quinco Building, Edmonton

Aerco had just started its service contract with a commercial tenant in Edmonton when an emergency call came in reporting six inches of water on the floor. Our technicians responded immediately and, after stopping the water flow, began investigating.

We discovered that the original commissioning of the large rooftop units was faulty. One of the issues was that the controls for the dampers were reversed; when they were set to be 10% open, they were 90% open instead. This set off a catastrophic freeze/thaw chain reaction throughout the building systems.

Aerco fixed all the mechanical issues, built more protection into the system and our service contract continues with the building owner today.
